Riccha Sinha Was the Original Choice Opposite Babil Khan for Sai Rajesh’s Baby: Report

While the actor is already sparking interest with her international project, the British psychological thriller Click, reports indicate that she was also an early casting choice for Sai Rajesh’s eagerly awaited film Baby.

Industry sources suggest that Riccha Sinha was initially considered as the leading lady opposite Babil Khan in Baby. The project eventually experienced a casting change, with Aaishvarya Thackeray taking on the role opposite Babil Khan. However, if the original plan had come to fruition, audiences would have seen Riccha and Babil as the film's main pair.

Interestingly, Baby is not the only high-profile project where Riccha Sinha was considered. The young actor was reportedly among the top contenders for Maddock Films' untitled project featuring Vedang Raina and Naomika Saran, further highlighting the growing interest in her within the industry.

Riccha's impressive screen presence, unique appeal, and emerging acting potential have caught the attention of filmmakers seeking fresh talent. Her international involvement with Click adds another exciting dimension to her burgeoning career. The British psychological thriller, also starring David Tucci, is expected to introduce Riccha to audiences beyond the Indian entertainment scene.

With multiple projects reportedly considering her and an international thriller enhancing her portfolio, Riccha Sinha appears to be steadily establishing her place among the next generation of young actors. As her upcoming work continues to generate interest, the industry will be watching closely to see which opportunities shape her on-screen journey.

Pooja Hegde Joins Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan for One Last Theatrical Celebration, Sources Reveal

Sources close to the actress reveal that her deep respect and strong connection with Vijay motivated her to join the highly anticipated political thriller.

Although, the director Mr. H Vinoth has mentioned that Pooja Hegde has a limited amount of screen time, but sources suggest her role features several impactful scenes. It seems that the opportunity to be part of Vijay's final theatrical release, rather than the length of her appearance, made the project especially significant for her.

“Pooja has several crucial scenes. It was incredibly sweet of her to join Jana Nayagan as it marks Thalapathy Vijay’s last film before he fully dedicates himself to politics. She was eager and equally excited to make it memorable,” a source close to the actress shared.

The reunion also brings back the popular pairing of Vijay and Pooja Hegde, who previously appeared together in Beast. Their chemistry received considerable attention from audiences, and their return is expected to be one of the film's major highlights.

For Pooja Hegde, Jana Nayagan could also be a significant opportunity to strengthen her presence in Tamil cinema. With Vijay's massive fan base and the emotional significance of his final theatrical appearance, expectations for their reunion are already high.

Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan also features Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju in key roles. The film is set for a grand theatrical release on July 23, with audiences eagerly anticipating what could be a landmark moment in Thalapathy Vijay's career?

Announced on July 16, 2026, the collaboration brings together Handcraft Entertainment’s ambition to create globally scalable Japanese artists and cultural intellectual property with Takasago’s extensive expertise in fragrance, flavor and sensory innovation. The partnership aims to create products and experiences connected to artists, music releases, live events and major cultural moments.

One of the first projects under the partnership will be a fragrance created in collaboration with Handcraft artist Mia Takarabe. The companies also plan to produce original content and media documenting the creative journey behind these fragrances, flavors and consumer products, giving fans a closer look at how the sensory world of Global J-Pop is developed.

The announcement comes after the release of “Heartless,” a collaboration between Mia Takarabe and global music icon Steve Aoki. The track has been positioned as an important step in Handcraft Entertainment’s mission to take Japanese pop music to international audiences.

“This is about building something entirely new at the intersection of music, culture, and sensory innovation,” said Michael Africk, CEO of Handcraft Entertainment, highlighting the company's vision of creating globally competitive Japanese artists and cultural experiences while preserving their authentic connection to Japanese identity.

Founded by multi-platinum producer and entrepreneur Michael Africk, the company aims to develop original intellectual property and nurture emerging Japanese talent for audiences around the world.

With the Takasago partnership, the concept of Global J-Pop could now move beyond the traditional boundaries of music, offering fans a more immersive way to experience Japanese artists and culture. As the global appetite for Japanese entertainment continues to grow, this collaboration could mark a significant step toward establishing Global J-Pop as a cross-platform cultural movement.
