Mumbai, October 22, 2026: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) has officially set the stage for its 27th edition, announcing a return to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on January 22 and 23, 2027. The announcement, made during a press conference in Mumbai, unveiled a major lineup of Bollywood celebrities, performances and international partnerships, including a first-ever global livestream collaboration with YouTube.

With Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Nora Fatehi announced as performers, IIFA 2027 is positioning itself as a major international celebration of Indian cinema and entertainment.

The 27th edition of the IIFA Awards promises an exciting blend of glamour, entertainment and engaging performances, with some of Indian cinema's most celebrated personalities taking centre stage. Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Maniesh Paul and Ananya Panday will host the main IIFA Awards ceremony, bringing together Johar's signature wit, Dhawan's infectious energy, Paul's effortless humour and Panday's youthful charm.

Adding another dimension to the celebrations, the IIFA Digital Awards 2027 will be hosted by acclaimed actors Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Abhishek Banerjee. Known for their distinctive performances across cinema and streaming platforms, the trio is expected to bring a refreshing combination of humour, spontaneity and cinematic flair to the digital awards stage. The digital celebration will feature musical performances by Himesh Reshammiya and Sunidhi Chauhan, bringing two distinctive musical voices to the IIFA stage. IIFA 2027 Announces First-Ever Global YouTube Livestream

One of the most significant developments announced at the Mumbai press conference is IIFA's partnership with YouTube as its official streaming partner.

For the first time, the awards will introduce a global livestream through YouTube, expanding access to audiences beyond the physical venue and traditional television broadcasting. The initiative will also introduce IIFA Unfiltered, a digital offering intended to bring viewers closer to the event and its personalities.

Meanwhile, ZEE will continue as IIFA's broadcasting partner, extending the awards' television reach to audiences across more than 120 countries.

Sobha Realty, ORN Join IIFA 2027's Global Partnerships

IIFA and Sobha Realty have extended their presenting sponsorship association into 2027, marking four years of collaboration. The partnership will continue across IIFA Weekend and the IIFA Digital Awards.

The Firefly Furniture Collection, fittingly named "Firefly - The Dance of Illumination," attempts to embody the essence of inspiration and brilliance that fireflies symbolize. Each beautifully crafted piece within the collection embodies elegance, utility, and a touch of enchantment.

In the dining area, guests are welcomed by a natural daylight ceiling with stained green oak paneling, creating an outdoor ambiance indoors. The dining table, ornamented with a pyrite top and a gunmetal-colored dining cabinet encrusted with green agate gems, acts as a sculptural centerpiece, while the experimental dining set allows guests to revel in culinary delights amidst fine settings.

The bar room, known as the Blue Bar Room, oozes refinement and appeal with smoked grey fluted walls, a graphite metal mosaic bar counter, and lit display pedestals embellished with blown glass accents. Hand-stitched barstools in blue faux crocodile leather and brushed tweed cloth lend luxury to the space.

In the living area, curved wall panels with marble incorporation create serenity, while the centerpiece beneath the Firefly chandelier exhibits three unique pieces, each featuring red tiger eye, acrylic sandwiched glass, or concentric marquetry veneer tops. Plush sofas upholstered in layers of crushed fabrics and aluminum lounge chairs offer comfort and style, making this room excellent for parties or leisure.

Riteish Deshmukh: Honoring Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 'Raja Shivaji'

Mumbai [India], February 19, 2024: Actor Riteish Deshmukh is set to direct a film about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life. He will also play the title role.

Riteish expressed his excitement about directing the film 'Raja Shivaji' in a statement, saying, "In the annals of history, there comes a figure who transcends mere earthly existence--a legend, an emblem, an eternal flame of inspiration. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is more than a historical character; he is an emotion, a timeless story of courage, and a beacon of hope that has ignited hearts for almost three and a half centuries."

He continued, "Our ultimate desire has always been to immortalize his awe-inspiring journey on the grand canvas of cinema--a voyage of epic proportions, chronicling the ascent of a youngster who defied the unbeatable, kindling the flames of Swarajya. A renegade whose daring knew no bounds, he didn't only govern territory, he conquered hearts, earning the affectionate title of 'Raja Shivaji'. "

The musical composition will be crafted by the brilliant team Ajay-Atul.

"Even after decades, there is only one king on this Earth, whose presence stays forever alive in our hearts, breath, and blood. We are excited as the story of his valor, the thrill of his prowess is poised to echo globally through this film venture," Ajay-Atul added.

Speaking about the project, Genelia stated, "Bringing the epic life of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on celluloid has been our long-standing ambition. We engage on a noble journey, not merely to produce a film, but to weave a narrative thread that enriches the tapestry of our culture and history. 'Raja Shivaji' is our biggest goal and we couldn't have found a greater partner than Jyoti Deshpande and Jio Studios, who have a record of executing the unthinkable. It's not just a big honor but an immense responsibility, and we seek your good wishes as we pursue our calling."

Presented by Jio Studios, made under the umbrella of Mumbai Film Company, 'Raja Shivaji' is directed by Riteish Deshmukh and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh.
