Subedaar and Maa Behen Dominate Ormax Media OTT Rankings, Emerge as 2026’s Most-Watched Original Hindi Streaming Films

The prestigious list, largely dominated by theatrical releases that later premiered on digital platforms, highlights the growing audience appetite for compelling original content.

The achievement marks a significant victory for filmmaker Suresh Triveni, who directed both films, and producer Vikram Malhotra, whose vision helped bring the two projects to life. While Subedaar delivered an emotionally charged action drama, Maa Behen won audiences over with its entertaining blend of crime, comedy, and social messaging. Their success demonstrates Triveni’s versatility as a storyteller, capable of excelling across vastly different genres.

Produced by Abundantia Entertainment, Subedaar was created in collaboration with Opening Image and Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network, while Maa Behen continued the successful creative partnership between Triveni and Malhotra. The films have not only captivated Indian audiences but have also made a strong impression internationally.

Subedaar became the most-watched Indian Amazon Original during its opening weekend and featured in Amazon Prime Video’s Top 10 rankings across 31 countries. Meanwhile, Maa Behen climbed to the No. 2 position among Netflix’s global non-English film rankings and trended in 15 countries, reflecting its widespread international popularity.

The twin success further strengthens Abundantia Entertainment’s reputation for backing content-driven cinema with memorable characters and fresh storytelling. Over the years, the production house has delivered acclaimed titles such as Shakuntala Devi, Sherni, Jalsa, Airlift, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, and the Chhorii franchise. With Subedaar and Maa Behen now setting new benchmarks for original streaming films, the company has once again demonstrated that authentic storytelling can compete with and even surpass the appeal of established franchises in the OTT era.

Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya on Amazon Prime Video: The Heartwarming Web Series Set to Redefine Family Entertainment in India

In an era where streaming platforms are dominated by crime thrillers and action-packed dramas, Amazon Prime Video is preparing to bring something refreshingly different to audiences with Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, an upcoming original web series that promises to celebrate innocence, education, relationships, and the transformative power of childhood.

The series is expected to present an emotionally engaging narrative set within the walls of a school, where every classroom becomes a stage for dreams, friendships, challenges, and life-changing lessons. Rather than focusing solely on academics, Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya aims to explore the emotional journeys of students, teachers, and parents, highlighting how education extends far beyond textbooks.

What makes the project particularly exciting is its promise to blend entertainment with meaningful storytelling. Industry insiders believe the series will resonate with audiences of every generation by portraying relatable family emotions, inspiring young minds, and celebrating the role of educators in shaping society.

With family-friendly content becoming increasingly popular on OTT platforms, Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya arrives at a time when viewers are actively looking for stories that can be enjoyed together across generations. The series is expected to strike a balance between humour, emotion, and socially relevant themes, making it appealing to children, parents, and grandparents alike.

The show's production values are also expected to reflect Amazon Prime Video's growing investment in premium Indian originals. While the makers are yet to officially reveal the complete cast, crew, release date, or first-look teaser, anticipation continues to build among OTT enthusiasts eager to witness a story rooted in positivity and hope.

As Indian streaming audiences increasingly embrace content that combines meaningful narratives with strong emotional depth, Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya has the potential to emerge as one of Amazon Prime Video's most heartwarming releases. If it delivers on its promise, the series could become a benchmark for wholesome family entertainment, proving that stories about kindness, learning, and human values can be just as compelling as high-octane thrillers.

With expectations steadily rising, all eyes are now on Amazon Prime Video for the official announcement that will unveil the cast, release schedule, and first glimpse of this much-awaited series. If early buzz is anything to go by, Aaarsh Baal Vidyalaya could soon become one of the most talked-about family dramas on the OTT platform.
