According to Variety, the movie will be directed by ertKevin Greut, who helmed 2009's 'Saw VI' and 2010's 'Saw: The Final Chapter' while serving as the editor for the first five instalments and 2007's 'Jigsaw'. Greutert is a fan favourite of the franchise, with many championing his chops on his two entries. In addition to the 'Saw' films, he's also helmed the features 'Jessabelle' with Sarah Snook and 'Visions' with Isla Fisher. The new movie's plot has been kept under the wraps however; the studio has promised the film will capture fans' "hearts, and other body parts, with all-new twisted, ingenious traps and a new mystery to solve." "We have been listening to what the fans have been asking for and are hard at work planning a movie that Saw aficionados and horror fans alike will love," said Mark Burg and Oren Koules, producers of the franchise. The 'Saw' movies, the first of which was released in 2004, have grossed healthy box office receipts. The second film, which starred Donnie Wahlberg, was the most lucrative instalment, grossing over USD 147 million worldwide, as per Variety.

According to Variety, the 'Shazam!' movie went into development in 2014 and its script originally included origin stories for both the title character and Black Adam. Both the super-powered fictional individuals have a shared history in the DC comics, so it seemed fitting to launch their big screen iterations together in one film. However, Johnson disagreed with this. Speaking about this to Vanity Fair magazine, Johnson said, "When the first draft of the movie came to us, it was a combination of Black Adam and Shazam: Two origin stories in one movie." "Now that was the goal, so it wasn't a complete surprise. But when I read that, I just knew in my gut, 'We can't make this movie like this. We would be doing Black Adam an incredible disservice.' It would've been fine for Shazam having two origin stories converge in one movie, but not good for Black Adam," he added. Revealing how he fixed the situation, Johnson continued, "I made a phone call. I said, 'I have to share my thoughts here. It's very unpopular...' because everybody thought, 'Hey, this script is great, let's go make this movie.' I said, 'I really think that you should make 'Shazam!,' make that movie on its own in the tone that you want. And I think we should separate this as well.'" As per Variety, Warner Bros. ultimately agreed, and now Johnson will be seen leading the upcoming standalone 'Black Adam' tentpole this fall. The actor has repeatedly promised moviegoers that his 'Black Adam' movie will forever change the DC universe on the big screen. Joining Johnson in the film are Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari and Pierce Brosnan. 'Black Adam' is set to release in theatres on October 21, 2022.

As per a source, Ranveer has been offered a massively mounted action-adventure mini-series with the actor.

"There is a huge development brewing for Ranveer. To be offered a big-budget action-adventure mini-series that will also feature a prominent Hollywood action superstar is pretty much an indicator of the appeal and reach that Ranveer Singh has built over the years in the West with his phenomenal performances. He has shaped pop culture in India and among Indians as we know today through his work and how he leads his life. So, it is not surprising that the Western entertainment industry is trying to mount a massive project with him in the lead along with an action superstar from Hollywood," the source informed. The particular project will go on the floors soon. "This project has to go on floors asap.

Ranveer is currently swamped with filming and promotions of big screen tentpole films like Rohit Shetty's Cirkus, Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani and maverick South director S. Shankar's retelling of his cult classic Anniyan. He will also have a couple of more film announcements soon for which shoot dates have been pre-committed to top filmmakers. So, juggling his schedule to make this work will be key. We are hoping that this pans out correct because, without someone like Ranveer helming the top billed cast, this project won't fly," the source added.

Meanwhile, Ranveer is in news for his nude photoshoot for PAPER magazine.

While some couldn't stop praising the actor for his bold experiment with his look, there's a section of people who have trolled him. Ranveer posted his nude pictures on Instagram last week and since then he has been the talk of the town.
