Ranveer Singh was involved in the creative process from start to finish, specifically selecting the different styles and styling for his figures. The neon sherwani made by Manish Arora for Ranveer's wedding ceremonies pays respect to Ranveer's culture and history. Hundreds of individually embroidered embellishments and extravagant leopard head-shoulder designs accent the eye-catching ensemble, which is brought together with a triple-layered diamond and pearl necklace and eight huge gemstone set rings. The Singapore model wears a stunning tailored tuxedo with a velvet coat and flower decorations. Designed by Gaurav Gupta and worn by Ranveer to the Hello! Hall of Fame Awards, the figure was gratefully gifted by Ranveer himself.

The figure was first disclosed in 2019 when the actor received the Madame Tussauds of the Future Award at the International Indian Film Academy when it was confirmed that he would be joining the star-studded attraction. Fans have been anticipating the release of the figure ever since, and today's announcement reveals the debut of not one, but two new figurines of the global superstar.

Ranveer Singh communiquéd after witnessing two of his first-ever stats from the attraction: “As a child, my Mother first told me about Madame Tussauds. Ever since a young age, I’ve had a fascination for this mythical, magical place called Madame Tussauds and it’s been incredible to see how the journey of life works… What an incredible moment it is for me to be here with my Mum, launching my figure at Madame Tussauds London. It’s a hugely proud moment for me and my family. It is a significant achievement to have your figure at Madame Tussauds because the attraction recognises excellence in each respective field, so to be in such an esteemed company feels wonderful. I feel very happy, very humble, very grateful, and very very proud.”

A spokesman for Madame Tussauds London stated of the actor's addition to their A-list lineup: "Ranveer Singh is not merely an actor but a force of creative dynamism. With a line-up of blockbuster hits and an unwavering commitment to social causes, Ranveer Singh’s influence extends beyond just cinema. His impact is felt not only through the lens of entertainment but also through his dedication to creating a more compassionate and equitable world for all. It’s for this reason that his stardom transcends globally and the launch of two new figures sitting in opposite corners of the world are a testament to his undeniable achievements.”

Andre Timmins, Co-Founder of the IIFA, said “It is so exciting for IIFA to be a part of this unveiling for Ranveer’s Madame Tussauds’ figure launch as it was at the 2011 IIFA Awards, Toronto where he won his first Best Debutant Award, and said on stage that "this is just the beginning”. Like IIFA, it truly was just the start of a soaring career, and we are proud as a brand to have been able to take an icon of Indian Cinema and the fraternity to such new heights, with global recognition, and as being honored at Madame Tussauds London.”

Ranveer Singh's London figure will be available for guests to meet in the attraction starting Monday 18th December, joining the likes of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Beyonce, Cristiano Ronaldo, Deepika Padukone, and 150 other incredibly lifelike celebrity figures.

Ranveer's Singapore figure will be accessible for customers to meet beginning Saturday, December 23rd, in the IIFA Awards Experience zone at Madame Tussauds Singapore. He will appear with celebrities such as Virat Kohli, Karan Johar, Michael Jackson, Priyanka Chopra, and many more.

December 18, 2023: From a list of 460 wine and sake nominations, 219 winning wines in multiple categories were announced for the fifth edition of the India Wine Awards, which are hosted by Sonal Holland Wine Academy in collaboration with ProWine. Twenty jury members evaluated each wine in the competition using a 100-point rating system to make sure the winners represented the preferences of Indian consumers.

110 wines were awarded in the Silver category, and 79 in the Gold. The wine that received the highest score among the 30 Best in Show winners was declared the best in show for that particular category. This year, sake was also added as a new category to recognise its growing popularity in the Indian market. In some categories, the jury found it difficult to choose a single winner, which occasionally resulted in a two- or three-way tie.

600 distinguished industry figures, including luminaries, leaders in hospitality, international trade organisations, and winemakers from all around the world, gathered for the Winners' Night. Among others, the evening honoured Rajeev Samant, the founder and CEO of Sula Vineyards, who is particularly notable for having laid the crucial groundwork for the development of the Indian wine sector. Sonal C. Holland herself gave him the "Indian Wine Industry Leader and Champion Award," which he well earned.

This year's event also marked the debut of a brand-new feature: IndiaWineAwards' 50 Best Places To Drink, a selection of the nation's top eateries and bars that provide outstanding drinking experiences for their patrons. Based on votes from the general public and jury members, the list was created to honour not only the best places to drink but also the hard work, skill, and friendliness of the staff who go into making these places especially memorable.

Mumbai-born Americano took first place in this category and became a fan favourite. Nine other notable venues that made it to the Top 10 Best Places to Drink came after Americano. These include Sidecar (New Delhi), Sula Tasting Room (Nashik), Copitas (Bengaluru), Masque (Mumbai), Hideaway (Goa), Comorin (Gurugram), Slink & Bardot (Mumbai), and The Bombay Canteen (Mumbai).

As the founder and chairperson of the India Wine Awards, Sonal C. Holland MW, noted, "With every passing year, we are growing bigger, better, and even bolder and that only reflects where the Indian wine industry firmly stands today." She also praised the hundreds of brands that ensure the steady growth of the Indian wine industry. The awards were a success this year.

The IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV) identified data management as one of the most significant difficulties that operators, OEMs, and regulatory agencies will confront as vehicles become more autonomous, forecasting a boom in associated data.

According to research undertaken jointly by the company, industry association the GSMA, and vehicle manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, the volume of data sent across telecom networks by the connected car sector will increase over the next two years.

According to Siemens research, if 20% of the world's 1.5 billion cars become highly autonomous, it would generate approximately 300 zettabytes of data.

According to Counterpoint Research, connected auto sales topped disconnected models for the first time in 2022, and a CAGR of roughly 17% is expected until 2027 for a total of 367 million vehicles.

Artificial Intelligence

  • According to the organisation, generative AI could be the key to unlocking totally autonomous vehicles by using algorithms to generate fresh content for virtual environments and simulating real-world scenarios for training purposes.

  • Vehicles could also include a generative AI interface, allowing drivers to interact in natural language rather than predefined orders.

  • Non-terrestrial networks are highlighted as a critical component of the connectivity puzzle, offering coverage in locations that ground-based networks cannot reach, while the firms cautioned that this may cost car manufacturers and users more.

  • Hyperscalers with competence in delivering and protecting cloud, IoT, and edge computing could also play an important role in developing new vehicle connectivity services.

The panel observed that industry organisations and governments appear to be on the same page regarding the cellular V2X communication protocol. The GSMA is collaborating with operators, OEMs, and regulatory organisations to create a unified approach to security, regulatory, and infrastructure platforms.

Energy

According to IBM et al, "Data is the new fuel powering modern cars, and networks are the pipelines," but they also underlined the need for increased coverage, data authentication, and cooperation to keep up with the growing number of connected vehicles.

For car connections with other vehicles, pedestrians, traffic systems, and IoT devices, network performance, cybersecurity, and data reliability are becoming safety imperatives.

According to the group, telecommunications service providers have a clear duty to provide high-bandwidth, low-latency, dependable, and secure connectivity services to enable many of the services.

According to Juniper Research, the operator opportunity for 5 G-connected automobiles alone is $3.6 billion.

In addition to operators, vehicle manufacturers, governments, industry associations, intelligent traffic system developers, and cloud providers must work together to create an ecosystem that will allow the sector to thrive.
