Mumbai [India], September 13: Mahesh Babu joined hands with one of the most celebrated directors in Indian cinema SS Rajamouli whose films 'Bahubali', 'Bahubali 2' & 'RRR' among many others have left a huge impact on the audience.

Babu is currently busy doing an epic action entertainer with wizard of words Trivikram Srinivas movie ' SSMB28' that went on floors on September 12. Rajamouli disclosed that his film with Mahesh Babu is going to be a globetrotting action adventure. The director is currently in the USA to attend a film festival where some of his movies are screened. While speaking with the media, Rajamouli made the revelation about the film's genre.

As the genre suggested, the story is set in different locations across the world. Mahesh Babu did action roles in many of his films, but Rajamouli who is the master of commercial cinema is going to show the superstar in a one-of-a-kind role and the director is working on the script of the movie. This movie will roll after Mahesh Babu is done with Trivikram Srinivas' movie. Meanwhile, on the work front, Mahesh Babu was last seen in the hit Telegu film 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata'. The movie also starred Keerthy Suresh and was directed by Parasuram Petla. It was released in theatres on May 12. In the film, Mahesh played the role of a US-based money lender, who travels to India for personal reasons. But, as the story proceeds further, he is drawn into a woman's life, who has suffered from the nexus between politicians and banking officials. He then takes a pledge to help the woman and ends up fixing the banking system in the country. The film wasn't received well by critics and didn't do expected business at the box office either.

However, it did manage to be a profitable one, owing to Mahesh Babu will also be seen sharing the big screen with Pooja Hedge in 'Jana Gana Mana'.




Mumbai [India], May 12: Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu has clarified his "Bollywood cannot afford him" remark and said that he loves cinema and respects all languages.

In a statement, the actor said he is comfortable doing the film where he has been working. Mahesh further added that he is happy to see his dream coming true as Telugu cinema is going places. Adding to that, Mahesh has also made it clear that his next with SS Rajamouli will be a pan India movie.

Twitteratis were divided over the actor's views. Some fans are disheartened by the statement while others his remark has been misinterpreted. "You don't want to work in bollywood it's okay but saying hindi cinema can't afford you is like seriously!! This was rude and arrogant. But it's fine now I get it, do your work where ever you want I will make sure to not bother you from now,"

A Twitter user wrote. Another user said Mahesh Babu never passes such "arrogant and disrespectful" statements. "His intentions got conveyed in a wrong manner. I hope he will clear this misinterpretations in the upcoming interviews. Mahesh is gold in character. He never passes such arrogant and dis respectful statements," read the tweet. "No brother he isn't arrogant at all, look at the interview media twisted the sentence and made it rude.

Mahesh said that he isn't made a film in Bollywood yet, so he was scared on how many people will know him," a Twitterati said. The 46-year-old star made his acting debut long back in 1989 as a child artist in his father's film Poratam. He is the son of Telegu actor Krishna. Mahesh made his silver screen debut with Raja Kumarudu (1999) opposite Preity Zinta. For the unversed, Mahesh has delivered blockbuster movies like Businessman, Srimanthudu, Athadu, Pokiri, Athidhi, Dookudu, Spyder, Bharat Ane Nenu and Maharshi, among others. Meanwhile on the work front, the megastar will soon be seen in his upcoming flick 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' which is scheduled to release on May 12. He is also producing Adivi Sesh starrer 'Major' which is slated to hit the big screens on June 3rd, 2022.

Actor Mahesh Babu is trending big time courtesy a statement he made at the trailer launch of Adivi Sesh's Major recently. The actor, who has been asked bout his plans of starring in Bollywood films on several occasions, said during the interaction that "Bollywood cannot afford" him, stated The Communiqué News and to other media reports. Several media outlets quoted Mahesh Babu as saying this during the launch: "I did get a lot of offers in Hindi but I don't think they can afford me. I don't want to waste my time working in an industry which can't afford me. The stardom and the respect I get here is huge, so I never really thought of leaving my industry and going to some other industry."

Speaking of his goals in the coming years, the 46-year-old actor added, "I have always thought of doing films and becoming bigger. My dream is coming true now and I can't be happier."

Mahesh Babu, son of Telugu actor Krishna, started his career as a child artiste with 1989 film Poratam, featuring his father. He also starred in his father's films Sankharavam and Bazaar Rowdy among others. Mahesh Babu made his full-fledged silver screen debut with 1999 film Raja Kumarudu opposite Preity Zinta.
