Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 5: Nita Ambani, Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, paid tribute to artists and artisans during the Swadesh flagship store celebration at Eros, dedicating the event to India's remarkable legacy of artists and National Award-winning artisans. The celebration was graced by numerous celebrities, adding glamour to the occasion. In her address to the media, Nita Ambani praised the National Award-winning artisans, calling them the "pride of India and the stars of tonight." She stated, "We welcome you to Swadesh. Today, we celebrate the start of the festive season by honoring our artists and artisans. They are the pride of India and the stars of tonight. We have with us several National award-winning artists and artisans. With joy and respect, I extend a warm welcome to them. They come from all over India—from Kashmir, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad, and Jaipur. Let's give them a big round of applause. They are the true pride of our time. Have a wonderful festive season." The artisans honored by Nita Ambani include Biren Basak, Padma Shri Awardee (2021), known for Tangail and Jamdani weaves; V. Panneerselvam, Tanjore painter awarded the Shilp Guru Award (2019) and National Award (2011); Shammi Bannu Sharma, a seventh-generation miniature painter and National President Awardee (2014); GhanShyam Sarode, a celebrated Paithani textile designer and handloom revivalist; and Gunjan Jain, an Odisha Ikat textile artist and National Award winner (2024).

Meta to launch Oakley-branded smart glasses

According to MacRumors, the Meta Oakley, similar to the Meta Ray-Bans, will include integrated cameras for capturing photos and videos, along with AI functionalities. The Oakley version of the Meta glasses is likely to be modeled after the Oakley Sphaera™ glasses, featuring a centrally positioned camera on the frame. Meta intends to target these glasses at cyclists and other athletes who already use Oakley sunglasses. Meta hinted at its Oakley-branded AI-powered smart glasses, with the profile description stating, "The next evolution is coming on June 20." Meta plans to unveil the first pair of Oakley smart glasses on June 20.





Los Angeles [US], June 19: Exciting news for gamers—according to The Verge, Sony is planning to launch PlayStation concerts in the US this fall.


Key Insights into the US PlayStation Concert Series

The audience will have the opportunity to experience live performances of tracks from franchises such as God of War, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon. Besides music from these major games (and hopefully including Ghost of Tsushima's remarkable title track), the concerts will feature "fan-favorite themes from Bloodborne, Astrobot, Journey, Uncharted, and Helldivers 2," offering a rich and varied journey through the PlayStation universe. A live band is set to perform the music while "the latest LED technology and state-of-the-art multi-layered projections" transform the stage into "a mesmerizing visual masterpiece."

The PlayStation concert commenced on April 19 in Dublin and will soon have its next segment in the US.
