Ravi Menon, Co-chairman of Sobha Realty's communiqué, “We are delighted to be the title sponsors of the 23rd edition of IIFA Weekend. The event will witness the presence of the who’s who of the Indian film industry with the glitz and glamour that makes Indian cinema widely popular. With a rich culture of performing arts in our nation itself, we are honoured to recognize and celebrate the long-standing allure of Indian cinema and its outstanding contributors. Indian films are watched across the world, and we are pleased to welcome the numerous actors, artists, and talents of our nation, further bringing Indian cinema to a global audience. IIFA Awards recognizes the highest quality and artistic expressions in the Indian film sector, just like we at Sobha Realty recognize the value of quality, art, and design in our work.”

“IIFA today is not just seen as an engaging celebration of Indian cinema, music, fashion and culture, it is the ultimate experience in global entertainment, which resonates with NEXA’s core values of ‘inspire’ and ‘create’,” states Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, outlining on why the collaboration has been so successful and aiming to set a seven-year high with its 23rd edition.

The fashion component, which NEXA curates with an established designer each year, has become one of the highlights of the NEXA IIFA weekend. It focuses on the essence of the brand, to 'create' and 'inspire'. This year, Manish Malhotra will awe and impress with his unique brand of larger-than-life glamour at the much-anticipated fashion extravaganza, and he will be honoured with a special IIFA award for Outstanding Achievement in Fashion in Cinema to recognise his globally acclaimed presence in the fashion and film industries.

For 33 years, the fashion designer has been a part of the Hindi cinema business. He pioneered the use of style in costume design in Ram Gopal Varma's musical romance Rangeela. Urmila Matondkar's skater dresses, cute-as-a-button berets, surprisingly sexy high-waist jeans, and tantalising oversized men's shirts from the 1995 film are still in style after 28 years.

Manish's avant-garde display of sportswear and athleisure in Karan Johar's 1998 directorial, the Shah Rukh-Kajol-Rani Mukerji movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, introduced numerous international fashion companies to the Indian market. Manish Malhotra, the stylist and entrepreneur, started his namesake line in 2005. He now has three flagship stores in three of India's most vibrant metropolises: Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad, with his first overseas location opening shortly in Dubai. He has also ventured into other markets, such as jewellery, and even has his own beauty brand.

Several Bollywood A-listers and personalities from different sectors regularly wear 'Manish Malhotra' couture at nuptials and red-carpet galas. Manish has rewritten and redefined fashion over the last three decades, from Kareena Kapoor's trendsetting Patiala salwar and T-shirt look in Jab We Met to Priyanka Chopra's lehenga-sneakers runaway bride look in Anjaana Anjaani to sequined sarees with bralettes and chikankari lehengas with cut-away infinity blouses.

“The collection is reflective of ‘old world charm meets the new world’ to create something breakthrough and imaginative. This collaboration aligns our joint synergy of innovation, progress and creativity which inspires with NEXA and we are excited to exhibit our line at IIFA Rocks 2023.,” Manish reveals.

The IIFA will be held at the Etihad Arena, the Middle East's largest state-of-the-art indoor entertainment complex and part of the idyllic Yas Bay Waterfront. The Awards will be hosted by Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan, featuring live performances by some of Bollywood's top stars, including Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi, and Rakul Preet Singh.

Farah Khan, who co-hosted the 22nd edition of IIFA Rocks with Aparshakti Khurrana in May of last year, will be returning to entertain with her legendary, irrepressible wit. This year's co-host is actor Rajkummar Rao. With their performances this year, Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Nuchelya, Mika, and Sukhbir Singh will electrify the stage!

Variety reports that the Marche du Film will collaborate with ICEX Spain Trade & Investment and the ICAA - Institute of Cinematography & Audiovisual Arts to promote Spanish talent and content spanning from cinema to documentary, animation, and augmented reality. Spain follows India as the first official Country of Honour at Cannes in 2022. Last year, the industry event established a programme to highlight and promote different countries at each market edition.

The organisers just revealed the lineup for the 2017 edition, which includes new works by such mega-watt auteurs as Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Catherine Breillat, Wim Wenders, Kore-eda Hirokazu, and Todd Haynes. These filmmakers will screen films both in and out of competition, which means that only a chosen number will have a chance to win the festival's top honour, the Palme d'Or. All of the directors are famous faces on the Croisette, having previously presented films there. In addition, after being chastised for not featuring more female directors in its roster, Cannes will shatter its own record with six films directed by women.

Among these are Alice Rohrwacher's "La Chimaera," Jessica Hausner's "Club Zero," Breillat's "Last Summer," Justine Triet's "Anatomie d'une chute," Ramata-Toulaye Sy's "Banel et Adama," and Kaouther Ben Hania's documentary "Four Daughters." Only Sy and Ben Hania are rookies to the competition. With the latest works from Nanni Moretti ("The Sun of the Future"), Marco Bellocchio ("Rapito"), and Rohrwacher, who previously competed with "The Wonders" and "Happy as Lazzaro," which won the Jury Prize and the screenplay prize, respectively, the competition will have an Italian flavour. In addition to "Four Daughters," the competition contains another politically charged documentary, "Jeunesse" by Chinese filmmaker Wang Bing, who previously competed at Cannes with "Dead Souls." "Man in Black" is also in Special Screenings for the director. Wenders, who won the Palme d'Or for "Paris, Texas," is back in the hunt with "Perfect Days," one of two films he will screen at Cannes.

Outside of the main competition, Cannes' Un Certain Regard will feature a diverse range of emerging and up-and-coming directors from around the world, including a large delegation of films from Africa and a first film from Mongolia with Zoljargal Purevdash's "If Only I Could Hibernate." The French film "Le Regne Animal" by Thomas Cailley, whose feature debut "Les Combattants" earned a couple Cesar Awards, will kick off Un Certain Regard. Anushka Sharma will represent India at Cannes 2023 this year. According to a source, Anushka will attend the Cannes Film Festival in 2023 to recognise women in cinema. Kate Winslet, a well-known actress, will accompany her.

Anushka met with France's ambassador to India, Emmanuel Lenin, and her husband, Virat Kohli, earlier this year at the French Embassy in New Delhi. The ambassador captioned his social media photo with a hint about Sharma's travel to the festival, which will be held in France, the fashion centre of the world. "It was a pleasure to meet @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma!" "I wished Virat and #TeamIndia the best of luck in their upcoming tournaments, and we talked about Anushka's trip to the #CannesFilmFestival," Emmanuel wrote.

This year's Cannes Film Festival will also include content creator Dolly Singh. "The Cannes Film Festival has provided an important platform for Indian artists to showcase their talent on a global scale." Indian talent has not only introduced Indian cinema to the global scene, but has also helped to break down cultural barriers and foster cross-cultural interchange over the years. Today, I am honoured to be contributing to this dialogue in my own unique way and making my festival debut this year. I'm grateful and happy for this chance, which has taken me from creating candles in the small village of Nainital to walking the red carpet at Cannes. This was a long-held ambition of mine, and I've now completed an important milestone.

Actress Manushi Chillar is all set to debut in Cannes Film Festival 2023, which will take place from May 16 to May 27.

Sharing the video, he wrote, "Making us so proud!"
