Washington DC [US], December The producers of the music drama 'Mother Mary,' featuring Anne Hathaway, have officially released the trailer. The film also stars Michaela Coel in a leading role.

Directed and written by David Lowery, "Mother Mary" features Anne Hathaway as a pop star who, after halting her tour due to an existential crisis, reconnects with an old friend and fashion designer, Sam (played by Michaela Coel), who was instrumental in shaping her public image. Anne Hathaway shared the trailer on her Instagram account. The film is scheduled for release in 2026.
"Mother Mary" represents the third collaboration between director David Lowery and A24, following their previous projects, "A Ghost Story" (2017) and "The Green Knight" (2021). Lowery also directed Disney's 2016 film "Pete's Dragon" and the forthcoming "Peter Pan & Wendy." Concurrently, the actress is set to appear in the eagerly awaited sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada."
