Prem Keetanu’s ‘Undi Bundi’ Turns College Nostalgia Into an Instagram Dance Craze

The first song from Prem Keetanu, ‘Undi Bundi’, appears to have found its natural home on Instagram, where its infectious hook and uninhibited energy are inspiring dance Reels, creator videos and a wave of college nostalgia.

Built around the instantly catchy refrain, “Jo na meri beat pe naache…”, the track has the kind of simple, high-energy appeal that lends itself effortlessly to social media. Rather than demanding perfectly choreographed performances, ‘Undi Bundi’ seems to invite listeners to pull their friends into the frame, attempt the hook step and simply enjoy the madness.
Featuring Veer Pahariya, Nikhil Vijay and their gang, the music video captures the carefree chaos of college friendships. The deliberately unfiltered performances, playful choreography and youthful atmosphere have also prompted listeners online to recall their own hostel and college memories.
Comments around the song have reflected that sentiment, with listeners describing it as a “fun song” and reminiscing about their college and hostel days. Composed and sung by Shashi Suman and Brijesh Shandilya, with rap by Little Bhatia and Mazemusicc and lyrics by Sandeep Singh Sardaraa, ‘Undi Bundi’ establishes the irreverent musical personality of Prem Keetanu.
The song is the first glimpse of the film’s seven-song album, which also features voices including Sachet Tandon, Parampara Tandon, B Praak, Armaan Malik, Papon, Jubin Nautiyal, Madhur Sharma and Altamash Faridi, alongside Shashi Suman and Brijesh Shandilya.
Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, known for Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai and Aspirants, Prem Keetanu explores friendship, first love, one-sided love and heartbreak through the experiences of a group of youngsters. The film is produced by Gaurav Verma under Avanika Films, and is co-presented with Phars Films in association with Bhavana Studios.
The cast includes Veer Pahariya, Aafiya Sayed, Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay.
For Veer Pahariya, ‘Undi Bundi’ also provides an opportunity to showcase a more playful side of his screen presence, with dance and comic energy taking centre stage.
Prem Keetanu is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
For now, ‘Undi Bundi’ appears to be doing exactly what a college-party song should: bringing the gang together, turning the camera on and making staying seated considerably harder.
