The 'Pran Pratishtha' event on January 22 will commemorate the ritualistic transfer of the deity's soul and spirit to the statue.

The top priest at Ayodhya's Ram Janmbhoomi, Acharya Satyendra Das Maharaj communiqued, "The soul and spirit of Lord Ram, which are worshipped by all, will pass on to the idol through the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony." The rite would include singing poems from the Vedas."

The joyful faces of Lord Ram idols have been exposed ahead of the great 'Pran Pratishtha' celebration on January 22nd. The 51-inch idol was created by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj. The new Lord Ram idol was installed inside Ayodhya's Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Thursday, a few days before the great consecration event. The first photograph of the idol, which is constructed of black (Shyamal) stone, shows the deity as a five-year-old child standing.


The Sarasana Jewellery Expo included beautifully sculpted idols of Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Hanuman, as well as the royal court, made of diamonds and gold.


What is happening in Ayodhya?

A large nagada weighing 500kg arrived in Ayodhya by a special chariot from Gujarat. It is decorated with layers of gold and silver. The Dabgar community's nagada construction consists of iron and copper plates.

The world-renowned Tirupati trust has dedicated itself in the creation of one lakh laddus that would be distributed among devotees attending the Ayodhya Ram mandir consecration event on January 22.

In Ayodhya, devotees ignited a 108-foot incense stick sent from Gujarat in the presence of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra President Mahant Nrityagopal Das Maharaj. The stick weighs 3,610 kg and is almost 3.5 feet wide.


Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, will send 1,100kg of laddoos to Ayodhya for the Ram temple consecration on January 22. A musical entourage will accompany the laddoos in a chariot.


The entire seven-day event is organised by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.

As per SRJTK, The Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana, and Havan occur on January 19, 2024. On January 20, the sanctum sanctorum (Garbhagriha) will be thoroughly cleaned with holy water from the Saryu River in a procedure known as 'Abhishek.' In a ceremony known as 'Shayadhivas,' the idols of Ram Lalla and Sita Mata will be given a divine tub with 125 pots of holy water on January 21. Following the holy baths, the idols could be adorned with rare jewels and sacred clothing in a ceremony called as 'Abhisekam and Shringar.'The seven-day festival will culminate on January 22nd, with the idols remaining in the sanctum sanctorum throughout the auspicious Mrigashira Nakshatra month. After the consecration, devotees can be allowed to see Ram Lalla and Sita Mata through particular darshan lines.


On the occasion of Ram Navami, at 12.04 pm, the sun's rays will fall on the head of Ram Lalla for 20 seconds and this event will be called 'Ram Tilak'

Scientist Dr SK Panigrahi said, "There is glass on the foundation of the top and floor of the temple. The rays coming from directly in front of the mirror will first be reflected on a basic mirror. Then from here, these rays will reach directly on the head of Ramlala. A gear mechanism has been used in this entire process. With its help, the direction of the mirror will be fixed in a special way on Ram Navami."

Why 22nd January is selected for Ram Mandir's inaugural ceremony?

According to mythology, on this day, Lord Vishnu took the form of a tortoise and assisted in the churning of the ocean. Shri Ram is also the incarnation of Shri Vishnu, so this date is important.

The installation of the Ram Lalla idol is between 12:29:08pm and 12:30:32pm.
