AURORA Returns With Full Force In New Single 'Your Blood'.

November 17, 2023: AURORA, the Norwegian alt-pop phenomenon, has released her new track 'Your Blood' today via Decca Records/Glassnote/Petroleum. The emotional and synth-infused track is the singer-songwriter's first since her third and highest charting album to date, 'The Gods We Can Touch,' which peaked at number ten on the Official UK Album Chart.

The new song comes on the heels of the announcement of her debut book, The Gods We Can Touch, which will be released on November 16th by Decca Records and Faber song: signed copies sold out in less than an hour, and the printing press had to be reopened due to extremely high demand. More information can be found at https://shop.aurora-music.com/.

The single finds AURORA letting her guard down in an ode to the human spirit, praising its vulnerabilities, emotions, and flaws, co-written, produced, and recorded in Los Angeles by Chris Greatti (Gaga, Willow, Yungblud, Grimes) and mixed by Mitch McCarthy (Olivia Rodrigo, Lady Gaga, Conan Gray).

"The world is constantly bleeding." You never know what's going on beneath people's skin. I believe that it is only when we reach out to one another that we realize how compassionate and beautiful we are as humans. We should attempt even if we don't understand what they are going through. What is a life genuinely worth if we don't? Addressing pain, whether your own or the pain of the world, can be excruciatingly painful. But, in reality, I believe it is then that we are born. It's your blood. "Our blood, my blood." AURORA elaborates.

AURORA's global popularity has grown massively after signing with Decca Records/Glassnote in 2014, engaging a new generation through social media platforms and traveling the world with her stunning and vibrant lyrics and utterly unique stage persona. Aurora Aksnes, who grew up in a forest and mountains in Bergen, Norway, has transformed her personality, independence, and passion into platinum discs, more than a million record sales, 12.4 million monthly listeners, and a whopping 10 billion streams.

Many of her contemporaries, from Troye Sivan and Doja Cat to Katy Perry and Shawn Mendes, appreciate the multidimensional pop singer. By the age of 12, she had written Runaway, a song that would eventually receive a complete release on her debut album All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend and would later inspire another 12-year-old, Billie Eilish, to make her own music thousands of miles away.

'Cure For Me,' from her latest album The Gods We Can Touch, and 2016's hit 'Runaway,' both gained sensational viral moments on TikTok, bringing AURORA's cinematic and sweeping melodies to a larger audience than ever before, hitting singles charts all over the world and counting over a hundred billion streams on Social Media.

AURORA has also announced an eight-city tour of Norway in March 2024. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, November 10th (complete dates are stated below). AURORA finished a sold-out UK headline tour last year, finishing at a packed O2 Brixton Academy in London, before dominating stages throughout the world for the remainder of her The Gods We Can Touch tour. She also headlined Norway's YES Festival alongside Florence + The Machine and Gorillaz, and performed alongside the iconic Duran Duran, Nile Rodgers & Chic, and Laura Mvula. A 65,000-person throng packed Hyde Park in London to see AURORA perform a set of songs spanning her successful career. This summer, she appeared at a number of events, including London's All Points East Festival, Lollapalooza (Berlin, Argentina, Brazil, and Chile), and Rock En Seine (Paris).

With a first book, four studio albums, and an Academy Award nomination (for 'Into the Unknown,' Frozen II), AURORA's career seemed limitless. 'Your Blood' ushers in a new era for the young artist, ushering in another chapter of her ever-evolving and distinct path of success.
