'Animal,' Ranbir Kapoor's Bollywood Crime Drama, Gets a First Look

The first look poster for "Animal," starring popular Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, has been released by producers Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures.

The crime drama movie claims to present Kapoor in a way that has never been seen before. Information about the plot is secret. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, whose 2017 Telugu-language success "Arjun Reddy," starring Vijay Deverakonda, served as the film's director debut, is behind the camera. One of the biggest movies of 2019 was "Kabir Singh," a Hindi remake of the movie directed by Vanga and starring Shahid Kapoor.

Anil Kapoor ("Jug Jugg Jeeyo"), Rashmika Mandanna ("Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1"), Bobby Deol ("Aashram"), and Triptii Dimri ("Qala") are also included in the "Animal" cast in significant roles.

The film "Animal" is part of T-Series Films' 100-film slate in multiple Indian languages. "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2," one of the biggest Bollywood hits of 2022, was co produced by T-Series and Cine1 Studios. "Arjun Reddy" was previously produced by Bhadrakali Pictures.

The filmmakers communiqué, “We’re extremely glad to present the first look poster of this magnum opus crime drama starring Ranbir Kapoor. After the much-built anticipation for the film post its announcement, we’re happy to unveil the first glimpse to the audiences. Ranbir’s look in the poster very well justifies the gist of the film and we’re confident that the audience will witness a film that they deserve.”

In 2022, Kapoor had two leading-man film releases. While Disney's "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva," the first instalment of a planned sci-fi trilogy based on Indian mythology, was one of the year's biggest hits, the action drama "Shamshera" performed poorly.

On August 11, 2023, the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada language versions of "Animal" are scheduled for cinematic release.
